"Lead with your heart, it knows the way"

About Me

Hi I'm Allyson Lynch, California girl born and raised! I grew up in a beautiful, small-town in the foothills of Sacramento. Staying close to home a majority of my life, I graduated from Sacramento State University in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration. I knew I wanted to build a career where I could utilize my passions for the outdoors, exercise while providing a memorable experience that would be felt and cherished as a memory rather than simply bought for a said value. After 7 years of working 9-5 as a dental assistant, then in restaurants and in customer service positions I no longer felt satisfied making safe decisions. I realized my potential was never going to be utilized where I currently was so I followed my heart to Southern California where the potential seemed limitless.

This passion to facilitate memorable experiences only grew when I discovered Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga. My love for the outdoors had finally met its physical match. Growing up already being very active, SUP Yoga came into my life at a time I did not know I was in need of slowing my pace down. Paddle Boarding has taught me to start listening to my own body that at the time was constantly feeling sore and worn down from long distance running. Being young and naive I refused to believe that my body would give up on me as long as my mind was determined.

Unfortunately this would be a lesson I had to learn the hard way. Fortunately as in most of the challenges we face throughout our lives the universe always provides EXACTLY what you need EXACTLY when you need it even if you don't realize it's happening. Looking at the glass half full during this time where I was supposed to be resting I was introduced to Yoga and was given an opportunity to indulge in more paddle boarding bliss. These two activities helped me take the time to heal my body from the wear and tear of running marathons, triathlons and tough mudders. With this deep appreciation for Yoga and Paddle Boarding I decided to take SUP Yoga teacher training with Sarah Tiefenthaler, founder and owner of YOGAqua in 2016 and from that point on I never looked back.

One thing I know to be certain is that when the universe gives you opportunities that you know so deeply and certainly are the right thing to do, DO NOT HESITATE. I moved away from the only home I had ever known so fast and instantly began envisioning what my new life in Los Angeles would look like... little did I know, something so much better was in store.

I have been fortunate to be able to immerse myself in the fitness industry since making my move to Los Angeles in the Summer of 2017. I experienced my first 200 RYT under world renowned teacher and owner of Yoga Salt, Tamal Dodge in the beginning of 2018 all while working at Equinox, traveling to assist at four different Wanderlust festivals across North America and working as the project coordinator for YOGAqua under Sarah Tiefenthaler. As soon as I completed Yoga teacher training, I immediately went onto getting an indoor cycling training through Schwinn in April of 2018 and then taking a Yin teacher training in June of 2018. It doesn't stop there, in the Fall of 2019 I  gained a new-found strength through learning Kickboxing under Kickboxing Club owner, Cassidy Huie in Torrance, CA, where I now teach 3-times a week. I love teaching so many different classes and it's great how each of these workouts overlap and connect to create a bigger picture for me. I get to teach EVERY SINGLE DAY and push my body to different limits on complete opposite sides of the spectrum. I start my days with a high-intensity cardio workout at the kickboxing studio, blasting loud music and punching my stress out on a bag and then end my day with a beautiful sunset paddle or a restorative yoga class.

I call beautiful and sunny Los Angeles California my home now, living and breathing Yoga, Paddle Boarding, Kickboxing and promoting a healthy lifestyle every day.
